Description
Integral U-tube steam generators are being deployed in the Narora Atomic Power Plant (NAPP). These steam generators have built-in economisers (hence the name). Study of the dynamics of this type of steam generators is essential for overall study of dynamics of NAPP as well as design of control systems for the steam generators. Control system for the steam generators includes pressure control and boiler level control feed water control system. Dynamic behaviour of the overall plant can be studied comprehensively along with the control systems. The present study of the dynamics of the steam generator is aimed to obtain the response characteristics under small disturbances, being a pre-requisite for design of its associated control system.
