Structurally influenced magnetic properties in Eu0.5Pr0.5MnO3

Description
Structural and magnetic measurements were performed on half doped polycrystalline manganite, Eu0.5Pr0.5MnO3. Reitveld refinement of the X-ray powder diffraction pattern at room temperature suggests considerable Jahn-Teller distortion. Investigation indicates a disordered antiferromagnetic ground state with a competition between antiferromagnetic and ferromagnetic interactions. A signature of spin frustration is encountered in the ac response. (author)
