Production cross sections of Λ-hypernuclei in (K-,π-) reactions

Description

Forward cross sections of Λ-hypernuclei produced in (K-,π-) experiments are calculated in the distorted wave impulse approximation. Two kinds of approaches are discussed and a comparison with recent data ranging from 6suc(Λ)Li to 209suc(Λ)Bi is made. The results support the assumption of a one-step process. (orig.)
