Concerning the problem on determing stable crack growth start in the fracture mechanics

Various methods for determining failure mechanics parameters are considered for their advantages and disadvantages. Comparative data are presented obtained during tests of molybdenum-chromium and nickel-chromium steels. Methods of the most accurate determination of a start in slow crack growing by means of acoustic emission and electric potential, the former being more prefarable, are described
