Interaction of pulsed coherent light beams with complex targets. Application to the fabrication of thin films compounds

Description

The interaction of light laser beam pulses produced by a solid state laser (Q switched or normally pulsed) with different targets (Ni3Mn, CdTe, ZrC, ReBe22) is used to realise their dynamic vaporisation. Thin films with same composition and structure as the target are obtained by condensation of the vapor produced. A schematic view to describe the phenomena (heating and vaporisation) produced by the impinging of laser beam on a complex target (alloys or compounds is proposed. The experimental results are in accordance with this model

Abstract (French)

L'interaction d'un faisceau de lumiere coherente pulsee, emis par un laser a solides, relaxe ou declenche, avec differentes cibles (Ni3Mn, CdFe, ZrC, ReBe22), a permis de realiser la vaporisation congruente de celles-ci. L'etude experimentale du plasma emis pendant l'interaction, et des conditions de condensation des films minces a montre que, dans certains cas, les couches elaborees avaient meme composition et meme structure que le materiau cible choisi (sans traitement thermique du depot apres condensation). Un schema decrivant l'interaction d'un faisceau laser pulse avec une cible complexe (compose ou alliage) et la vaporisation de cette cible est propose. Les resultats experimentaux obtenus permettent de justifier, en partie, les hypotheses et le schema presente
