Die Systemüberwachung umfaßt laut Sicherheitsbericht die Messung von Aktivitäten und Konzentrationen radioaktiver Stoffe in den Kreisläufen bei bestimmungsgemäßem Betrieb und bei Störfällen. Bei Überschreitung von Grenzwerten werden Meldungen auf die Warte geleitet, um Maßnahmen zur Begrenzung von Freisetzungen ergreifen bzw. zur Behebung von Störungen einleiten zu können.
