Fast deuteron production mechanisms in the 6Li(p,pd) α quasi-elastic knock-out reaction in α-n-p model of 6Li

Description

The 6Li(p, pd)α knock-out reaction at large momentum transfer (∼ 1.5 GeV/c) in the energy range of 0.5-1.0 GeV has been investigated in the impulse approximation. The p+ → p+d quasi-free backscattering is considered in the framework of four mechanisms: the quasiresonance contribution of the Δ isobar, one-nucleon exchange, single-step pN scattering and three-baryon-resonance mechanism. The ground state of 6Li is described in the three-body α-n-p model. The energy distribution of secondary protons and the tensor polarization of knocked-out deutrons were calculated. The calculations in the α-n-p and α-d cluster models of 6Li are compared
