ICC nearing decision on recyclability of spent nuclear fuel

The Interstate Commerce Commission said it will try to issue a final order this year in a decade-long case on whether spent nuclear and related components from the US Navy that were shipped to the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory between 1978 and 1990 can be considered recyclable, thereby qualifying for reduced rail shipping rates
