Significant increase in global C0 emissions in 2018. Setback for global climate protection
Creators
Description
According to preliminary calculations, global CO emissions rose by 1.9 % in 2018 compared with 2018, the first significant increase since 2013. This means that even the long-term average annual growth of 1.6 % was exceeded (from 1990 to 2017). As a result, CO emissions in 2018 reached a new peak of 34.4 billion tonnes. Compared with the target values agreed at the climate conferences, this represents a noticeable setback.
Abstract (German)
Additional details
