Electronic structure, magnetism and lattice property anomalies of various phases of plutonium

Description
Zone calculations of √ α, δ, n and ε-phases electron structure are carried out using ASA-LMTO relativistic method. Spin-polarized calculations, according to which δ-phase turned to be magnetic in contrast to α-phase, are conducted for α- and δ-phases. Electron contributions into δ-Pu elasticity modules, δ-Pu elasticity modules, Gruneisen electron parameters in δ-, ν-, and ε-phases are calculated. Nature of volume jump at α-δ-transition and of thermal expansion anomalies in δ- and ν-phases is discussed
