This paper presents an overview of Swiss performance assessments which consider the effects of human action on the performance of radioactive waste repositories. The studies have been carried out by the Swiss Nuclear Safety Inspectorate (HSK) and by the Swiss National Cooperative for the Storage of radioactive Waste (Nagra). L/ILW repositories in molasse in Northern Switzerland and in marl in Central Switzerland as well as HLW repositories in the granitic basement in Northern Switzerland have been considered
