Magnetic moments of excited states
Description
The discussion mainly emphasizes magnetic dipole moments of excited nuclear states. A short outline of hyperfine interactions and of the technique of perturbed angular correlations (PAC) is given. Experimental methods for measuring magnetic moments of excited states are introduced with an emphasis on nuclear reactions. Various theoretical models that have proved to be very successful in interpreting experimental results are discussed. (U.S
