Methods of heavy particle acceleration by means of charge density waves in vacuum and plasma
Creators
Description
The methods of obtaining regular intense longitudinal electromagnetic waves in vacuum or plasma space are described. These waves are formed in a vacuum space, if the beams pass through the paramagnetic resonance region. Slow waves are due to anomalous Doppler effect. At the beam transport through the plasma region a wave of wide-frequency spectrum is formed which is due to plasma-beam instability and which is modulated under the repetition signal of a small amplitude. A possibility of using the obtained fields for the acceleration of high energy ions is discussed
