On a possibility of ionospheric origin of some types of geomagnetic polsations

  • 1. AN SSSR, Moscow. Inst. Fiziki Zemli

Description

Dynamic spectra are analyzed of Pi1B pulsations, pearls and of specific oscillations in the Pc1 range which are revealed at the auroral zone latitudes. The particle-amplitude characteristics of Pi1B in the aurorae and magnetic field are shown to be similar. A hypothesis on the Pi1B ionospheric origin is proposed. A possibility is considered of ionospheric stimulation of the Pc1 series morphologically related with irregular oscillations
