  • 2. HUMA-LAB CS, Ltd. (Slovakia)

Description

The following most-used methods for preparing 125I-labelled proteins for radioimmunoassay are described: the chloramine T method, the enzymatic method, the iodogenic method, and the method using the Bolton-Hunter agent. Some other methods are also mentioned, as are the electrolytic method, the method using monoiodochloride, etc. Experimental data are given on the essential kinetic properties of prepared 125I-proteins as well as data on decay conditions. The basic method is presented for separation of 125I-labelled proteins from residual inorganic iodine after the reaction. (author) 3 figs., 25 refs
