Description
The effect of heat treatment on the electrical property of YBa2Cu3O7-x + Ag (10 and 20 mass %) samples was studied. It was shown that under conditions of short-time heating with IR radiation (5 sec) the orthorhombic structure of the starting YBa2Cu3O7-x remains and the critical current density is increased by a factor 3.5-5.5. Similar action of IR heating for 10 sec (overheating of the sample) results in a phase transition of the starting orthorhombic material into a tetragonal phase, and this is accompanied by a significant decrease in Tc and appearance of additional phases owing to decomposition of the compound. 7 refs., 7 figs., 1 tab
