Study on total β radioactivity monitoring of contaminated water by nuclear explosions

Description
This article describes a method of quick total β monitoring method of the water contaminated by nuclear explosions. The measuring device is composed of probe head, lead shieding (lead chamber), electronic measuring instrument and alarm device and on-line automatic control. An alarm will be triggered when total β radioactivity in the contaminated water exceeds the army war-time potable water hygienic standards. (authors)
