Process for removal of adhering or dust deposits in plants handling uranium hexafluoride
Description
In order to remove the deposits which arise from the hydrolysis products of UF6 and compounds containing oxygen, these are brought into contact with CBrF3 or CBr2F2 as compounds supplying bromine and with IF7 or the element fluorine as means of fluorisation, at least at room temperature. The range up to 130 millibar is suitable for the overall pressure for the reaction. (DG)

Zur Beseitigung der Ablagerungen, die z.B. aus den Hydrolyseprodukten des UF6 und sauerstoffhaltigen Verbindungen entstehen, werden diese bei mindestens Raumtemperatur mit CBrF3 oder CBr2F2 als Brom liefernder Verbindung sowie mit JF7 bzw. elementarem F als Fluorierungsmittel in Kontakt gebracht. Als Gesamtdruck fuer die Reaktion ist der Bereich bis zu 130 mbar geeignet. (DG)Files
