Strength of carbide-graphite compositions under force and thermal loadings
Description
Strength, fracture toughness, linear expansion coefficient, heat conductivity, high-heat strength are measured for carbide-graphite compositions on the base of zirconium and niobium carbides with a carbon component in a form of soot and KLZ graphite. It is shown that high-heat strength is limited by the material ultimate strain, fragmentation depends on the accumulated elastic energy
