Physical-model-based anomaly resolution
Description
With the introduction of automated data collection, techniques are needed to facilitate the assimilation of the potentially large number of data that might be recorded. Near-real-time accounting methods provide a means of detecting anomalies by analyzing series of materials balances. Anomalies might also be observed when looking at graphical outputs of key variables like levels, temperatures, and concentrations. A computer-simulation-based aid to resolving the anomalies thus generated had already been demonstrated in principle. Future work is intended to focus on the development of a prototype, on optimization, on benchmarking, on issues of generality, and on the user interface
