Shielding analysis of TN-32 spent fuel dry cask with SCALE
- 1. 100 Rhines Hall, University of Florida, Gainesville, FL 32611 (United States)
Description
The objective of the University of Florida Non Destructive Evaluation (NDE) team is to use Emission Source Tomography to determine and verify the spent fuel location and condition in TN-32 dry casks. In order to investigate this technique, a radiation analysis of TN-32 cask will be performed with MAVRIC control module of SCALE 6.1 and MCNP6 code. The radiation source term from active fuel regions and fuel assembly structure components is calculated, and the MAVRIC geometry model is demonstrated in this paper. Finally, the procedure and future work is listed in this paper. And the shielding analysis result will be presented in ANS winter conference. (authors)
