Hall current effects in MHD flow through a porous medium between two parallel plates with heat generating source

  • 1. Sri Venkateswara Univ., Tirupati (India). Dept. of Mathematics

Description

The Hall current effects on MHD flow of a viscous, incompressible and slightly conducting fluid through a porous medium between two parallel nonconducting plates with heat generating source have been discussed. The velocity and temperature distributions, the coefficient of skin friction on the plates and the rates of heat transfer coefficients have been evaluated. The effects of the magnetic, Hall, porosity and heat source parameters on the physical quantities mentioned earlier have been investigated. The effects of Psub(r)E(the product of Prandtl and Eckert numbers) on the temperature and the rates of heat transfer coefficients have also been studied. (author)
