Status of the ω meson
Description
According to the quark model, a vector meson ω with quantum numbers CIsup(G)Jsup(P) = -0-1- has been predicted to be in S-state. Its mass and width are experimentally estimated to be (782.6 +- 0.3) MeV and (10.1 +- 0.3) MeV respectively. Its dominant decay modes are on the properties of the ω meson along with some of the experimental findings are included in this report. Besides this, some results in respect of the production and decay of the ω meson in the have been presented here. (author)
