Unusual hot star BD--703007

Description
The almost continuous spectrum of BD 703007 is shown to have very broad hydrogen lines with weak and variable central emission. In addition, both Ca ii and He I are definitely present. Photometry shows the star to lie near the blackbody curve with a temperature of about 14,0000 K. The spectroscopic and photometric properties are compared with white dwarfs, old novae, and other subluminous objects.
