Combined collisional and laser excitation for the investigation of autoionizing Rydberg series Ag I 4d9 5snd

Description
Using a combination of collisional and laser excitation autoionizing Rydberg states of the configurations Ag I 4d9 5snd were populated. Starting from the metastable state 4d9 5s5p 4F9/2 we could identify 56 transitions to states with J = 7/2, 9/2 and 11/2. The classification of these states and the analysis of several perturbations within the series and with states of the configuration 4d9 5p2 were performed with the help of Hartree-Fock-calculations using the Cowan code.
