Thermoanalytical installation DTA-6D for investigation of actinoid compounds
Description
The DTA-6D installation for differential thermal analysis (DTA) has been developed, which permits to study milligram amounts of materials with high specific activity during heating up to 1000 deg C in the atmosphere of various gases. To determine the applicability of the installation described for qualitative and quantitative DTA a series of experiments on metal (La, Th, U, Pu, Am) and alloy (Pt-Am) oxidation in oxygen has been carried out. The obtained approximate values of thermodynamic characteristics agree well with the literature data
