On initial temperatures and products of interaction of water vapors with solid alkali metal halides
Creators
Description
The reaction of water vapours with alkali metal halides was studied by the dynamic method. The temperatures of the beginning of hydrolysis reactions were established by the time of release of hydrogen chloride. The dependence of the initial hydrolysis reaction temperatures on the reciprocal cation and anion radii is demonstrated. The products of the reaction of the H2O- and OH--groups were identified by infrared spectroscopy, which made it possible to substantiate the mechanism of the hydrolysis reaction
