Interrelation between phase transformations and amplitude of stress intensity factor in austenitic steels
- 1. AN SSSR, Moscow. Inst. Metallurgii
Description
The effect of amplitude of stress intensity factor δK on phase transformations in austenitic 07Kh13N4AG20 and 03Kh13AG19 steels under cyclic loading at the temperature of liquid nitrogen is studied. It is stated that intensity of martensitic transformation in austenitic steels at fatigue fracture is determined by the amplitude value of a stress intensity factor δK and it sets forth to stage character of fatigue fracture. It is suggested that curves of phase transformations plotted in coordinates of volumetric phase content-amplitude of stress intensity factor δK should be considered when analyzing phase transformation intensity in the process of cyclic loading
