Investigation of mechanism of cadmium(2) reduction from ethylenediaminetetracetate solutions

Description
Studied are kinetics and mechanism of cadmium(2) discharge from trilonate electrolytes. It is shown that the process of cadmium discharge-ionization from these electrolytes proceeds according to the stage mechanism with retarded addition of the first electron and splitting-out of the second one, ethylenediaminetetracetate ions do not participate directly in the electrode reaction
