Itaipu and the environment: technology and development
Description
Itaipu Binacional is an autonomous entity built by Brazil and Paraguay, which has the official concession to realize the hydric resources utilization from Parana River. This paper describes programs and projects aim to minimize environmental impacts and effects caused by Itaipu Hydroelectric Power Plant, including environmental policy and fish preservation.
