Study of identification of safety provisions in power reactor terrace design

Description
The assessment of identification of the safety provisions in the design of the power reactor core is essential to support the drafting of the BAPETEN Chairman Regulation on the Design of the Power Reactor Core. The power reactor core is the component used for a controlled chain reaction process. The reactor core becomes the main potential source of reactor hazard due to heat generation and radiation in this component. Technical aspects that need to be further studied in relation to reactor core are the general safety requirements and specific safety requirements of core design, qualification of core structure, system, and component as well as testing and maintenance of core. This assessment also includes provisions for licensee to implement quality assurance in designing the reactor core as well as specific and generas safety requirements, considering core test and maintenance and apply quality management clearly to ensure reactor core safety. The objective to be achieved in this assessment is to identify safety provisions that will be useful in drafting the BAPETEN Chairman Regulations on the safety requirements of core reactor designs. The identified safety provisions are expected can be implemented on the Light Water Reactor (LWR), High Temperature Gas Cooled Reactor (HTGR) with pebble bed fuel type, and Molten Salt Reactor (MSR).
