A scenario forward realization of a nuclear fusion reactor. Meanings on the ITER Plan
Description
As the fossil fuels are not anxious to dry up among these 100 years, the global warming phenomenon due to emission of greenhouse effect gas accompanied with consumption of the fossil fuels becomes a large subject to human beings. To overcome this subject, on a scenario of making much of environmental measures for future energy forecasting, at the end of the 21st Century about a half of energy supply and demand must be occupied by non-fossil energy containing innovative energy such as nuclear fusion and so on. The nuclear fusion energy has eco-social, scientific and technical, and international social meanings as a hopeful choice of future energy source, and then R and D on the nuclear fusion forward its realization is progressing. Here were described on outline of nuclear fusion, positioning of the fusion energy, meanings of the fusion R and D, development on the fusion R and D, a role played by the ITER plan, past efforts on the ITER plan, and foreign and Japanese conditions on the ITER plan.
