Description
Measurement of the total intensity of direct solar radiation carried out at the meteorological observatories of the Institute of Meteorology and Climatology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Mlynany and at Skalnate Pleso in 1972 are the basis for the calculation of the intensity of direct solar radiation weakened, absorbed and diffused by aerosol. The results of the measurements are graphic representations of the daily course of the above mentioned intensity values. A function is derived characterizing the aerosol quantity and thereby also air pollution. (Oy)
