The conference presents papers on considerations of the measurement process; quantitation in material, environmental, clinical, and nutrient analysis; and advances in analytical techniques. Topics include quality assurance and reference materials for trace analysis, industrial trace analysis, environmental analysis, clinical/biomedical analysis, nutrient analysis, materials analysis, chromatography/separation science, mass spectrometry, nuclear methods, bioanalytical/biosensors, and microprobe techniques. Consideration is also given to synchrotron radiation excited fluorescence microanalysis using a new imaging technique, the accuracy of surface analyses, depth profiling of trace constituents using secondary ion mass spectrometry, and relative sensitivity and quantitation in glow discharge mass spectrometry
