Bremsstrahlung converter with enchanced yield of gamma quanta in the energy range <100 keV

Description
Spectral composition of a bremsstrahlung converter enabling to achieve 8.4x1011 rad/s (Si) absorbed dose on 10 cm2 for photons with the energy in 10-100 keV range is determined. The converter represents a tube, 230 mm in diameter and 260 mm long. Converter foil is pulled over the frame which is mounted on the central conductor which enables its fast replacement. Absorbed dose per 1 kJ of electron beam constituted 67 krad for Au and 15 krad for CaF2
