Depth profiling of radioactive nuclides in soil

Description
Analyses of 114 soil samples in Ningbo City show that, in general, there are statistical differences of 137Cs and 40K contents between every layers; the other kinds of natural radionuclides present an increasing tendency with depth. As γ dose rate in soil is estimated with Beck Formula, the effect of nonuniform distributions of radioactive nuclides is less than 1% in general and can be ignored
