The Education (Schools and Further Education) Regulations 1981 (23 July 1981)

Description
These Regulations concern the use of radioactive substances and apparatus in schools and further education establishments. The approval of the Secretary of State for Education and Science is required for the use of such substances and apparatus, and his approval may be withdrawn if arrangements for health and safety of pupils and staff are inadequate. The Regulations revoke the Schools Regulations, 1959 (as amended), and the Further Education Regulations, 1975. (NEA)

Le present Reglement se rapporte a l'utilisation de substances radioactives et d'appareils emettant des rayonnements dans les ecoles et dans d'autres etablissements d'education. L'utilisation de tels equipements et substances est subordonnee a l'approbation du Secretariat d'Etat a l'education et a la science; ce dernier peut retirer son approbation lorsque les mesures destinees a assurer la protection de la sante et de la securite des eleves comme du personnel, ne sont pas satisfaisantes. Le present Reglement a pour effet d'abroger le Reglement de 1959 sur les ecoles ainsi que le Reglement de 1975 sur l'enseignement superieur
