Description
Simulation study of the anode wire modulation effect of MWPC was carried out with Garfield program. For anode wire spacing of 1, 1.5 and 2 mm, the influence of the drift field and drift region thickness to the anode wire modulation effect was studied. Results shows that, for the structure with the anode wires and upper cathode wires were parallel and in registration, the anode modulation effect can be largely reduced if the drift field was chosen properly.
