Production of some uncommon metals by fused salt electrolysis technology
Description
Fused chloride electrolysis method for the production and purification of uncommon metals like zirconium, hafnium, vanadium, niobium, tantalum, molybdenum, beryllium, uranium, thorium and tungsten is outlined. Different types of electrolytic cells which can be used, their advantages and disadvantages, heat balance and operational characteristics are also described in brief. (M.G.B.)
