Creators

  • 1. Cabinet d'Expertise Technologia, 75 - Paris (France)

Description

This practical guide deals with the chemical risk from physical and chemical, toxicological and eco-toxicological data. The different subjects are illustrated by concrete examples (asbestos, glycol ethers, acrylates....). Prevention measures are given for each subject and example. The first part deals particularly with the study of the different chemical risks and with their consequences on the human health and on the material. Often present, some other risks as the electricity, the biological risk... are described too. The second part is devoted to the prevention in its three aspects: regulation, technical and organisational. A part is devoted to accidents and occupational diseases. The approach, both scientific, didactic and practical of this guide intends it to prevention engineers and technicians, factory doctors, public health specialists, 'CHSCT' (Commite d'Hygiene, Securite et Conditions de Travail) members but to the general public too.
