Description
The IKARUS project investigates the possibilities for shaping the national energy system against the background of global aspects. Particularly relevant in this connection is the climate problem; but the broader issue is a both economic and ecological evaluation of lines of technology for future energy supply. In the IKARUS project, instruments of analysis in the form of models and a database are provided for such comparative evaluations. In formulating the models and database structure, demands on the data required for this partial project are simultaneously defined. In addition, a general pattern of analysis was formulated for the methodology of the overall project (steering committee 1991), in order to ensure consistent treatment of the different partial sectors of the energy system. Im IKARUS-Projekt werden die Moeglichkeiten der Gestaltung des nationalen Energiesystems vor dem Hintergrund globaler Aspekte untersucht. Besondere Bedeutung hat hierbei die Klimaproblematik; letztlich geht es aber in einem umfassenderen Sinne um eine sowohl oekonomische als auch oekologische Bewertung von Techniklinien fuer die kuenftige Energieversorgung. Mit dem IKARUS-Projekt werden fuer solche vergleichenden Bewertungen Analyseinstrumente in Form von Modellen und einer Datenbank bereitgestellt. Mit der Formulierung der Modelle und der Datenbankstruktur sind zugleich auch die Anforderungen an die in diesem Teilprojekt bereitzustellende Datenbasis festgelegt worden. Zur konsistenten Behandlung der unterschiedlichen Teilbereiche des Energiesystems ist fuer das methodische Vorgehen im Gesamtprojekt zusaetzlich ein allgemeines Analyseraster formuliert worden (Lenkungsausschuss 1991).
