Description

A modest Relativistic Electron Tesla Accelerator (RETA) is submitted. This system is designed for the aim of the laboratory demonstration and education on inertial confinement fusion and TEA Laser. Nevertheless it is also possible to investigate on it some other definite aimed research problems. The RETA consists of a condenser bank for an energy storage of 50 J, a Tesla type of transformer with oil tank, a pulse forming transmission line, two controllable spark gaps and a Field Emission Diode (FED). A typical beam characteristic is 300 kV, 25 ns and 2.5 kA. (author). 11 refs, 4 figs
