The effect of trajectory curvature on electron mobility in strong electric fields

Description

As an example of the power of a revision of the method of free paths, the effect of treating transport of charge for electrons moving on unapproximated parabolic trajectories in strong electric fields is examined. It is shown that, although potential error as large as 70% might occur in mobilities which neglect trajectory curvature, as a practical physical matter such peculiar regimes are never reached, and the error of neglecting trajectory curvature is generally less than 1% regardless of the field strength.
