Description
Within a period of five days the blood extract Solcoseryl (SO) administered daily i.p. to mice adapted to an ambient temperature of 32.5 0C enhances the activities of the enzymes LDH and G-6-PDH of liver, kidney, testes and thymus in an oscillatory way. The decrease of enzyme activity observed within 3 days after whole-body gamma irradiation is neutralized by therapeutic SO treatment. The activity reaches values which are between those obtainable from the sole SO treatment and those obtainable from the sole irradiation. (author)
