Short-range order in Ni-11.8 at.% Mo alloy

Description
The short-range order structure in Ni-11.8 at.% Mo alloy single crystals is studied by the method of diffuse X-ray scattering. The technique of separation of diffuse scattering intensity components for cubic binary alloy is improved and the component related to short-range ordering is detected. On the basis of experimental data the calculation of short-range order parameters is accomplished for 150 coordination spheres. The sings of short-range order parameters for alloy Ni-11.8 at.% Mo agree with those for completely ordered structure Ni4Mo
