Uranium determination in seawater after preliminary concentration on chelate sorbent
Description
A procedure for uranium determination in sea water has been developed, based on uranium pre-concentration by a chelate sorbent under dynamical conditions, followed by photometric determination of uranium with arsenazo 3. The degree of uranium extraction in this case is 96-97%, over a wide range of pH from 5 to 8.5, and remains the same up to a passing rate of 9.5 ml/minxcm2. The sensitivity of the method is 0.5x10-analysing uranium in sea water samples, but also for controlling the completeness of uranium extraction at its commercial concentrating. It takes 1.5 hour to analyse a sample from 1 l of sea water, the error of the method being +-5%
