Ion distribution in charge states in power pulsed discharge supported by millimeter wave radiation under conditions of electron cyclotron resonance

Description
Ions distribution in charge states in powerful pulsed electron-cyclotron discharge in argon, supported by millimeter wave radiation is measured. It is found, that the distribution maximum is essentially shifted to the side of greater charges as compared to the distribution in traditional sources of multi-charge sources of continuous action. Such a maximum distribution shift is obviously related to the fact that the so-called quasi-gas-dynamic regime of plasma containment in a magnetic trap was realized
