Inspection technologies of nuclear power generation facilities

Description

This report summarized modification of defect detection and sizing guide, new sizing testing procedure guide and their explanatory comments on the base of test results of defect detect ability and sizing accuracy of ultrasonic testing obtained until March 2005. As for defect detection and length sizing, modified items of vessel and pipe ultrasonic testing procedure of 'ultrasonic testing guide for in-service inspection of light-water type nuclear power plant components' (JEAG4207-2004) and their explanatory notes on defect detect ability, measurement accuracy of indication length, scatter of measured values, setting of basic sensitivity of longitudinal wave, scanning direction and indication length of secondary creeping wave were reflected. And as for defect depth sizing, 'defect depth sizing testing procedure guide of vessel and pipe (draft)' for respective testing part and ultrasonic testing method and 'defect depth sizing testing procedure guide of vessel nozzle inner round part, and dissimilar metal welded joints of vessel nozzle and safe end (draft)' for respective testing part and ultrasonic testing method were proposed with detailed explanatory notes.
