Degradation and cleanup of purex solvent reprocessing, purex process, solvent, TBP, degradation, solvent cleanup
- 1. Central Research Inst. of Electric Power Industry, Komae, Tokyo (Japan). Komae Research Lab.
Description
It is well known that solvent used in PUREX Processes are damaged by irradiation and chemical attack. Solvent degradation in PUREX processes should be evaluated because the degradation products of the solvent affect the efficiency and cost of reprocessing. This report describes the present status of studies on the degradation of PUREX solvent, fundamental knowledge of the degradation mechanisms, and the products. (author)
