Synthesis, crystal and molecular structures of the complex neptunium (5) sulfate, Cs3[NpO2(SO4)2]·2H2O
Description
Complex neptunium (5) sulfate was synthesized by evaporation at 27 deg C of (NpO2)2SO4 saturated solution in 1.5 mol/l of Cs2SO4. Its unit cell parameters were calculated. Np-O distances in NpO2+ are 182.3(4) and 181.7(4) pm. [NpO2(SO4)2]n3n- anion chain differs from the known ones for uranyl sulfates. Water is not included in Np coordination sphere
